Local Beaches
Two of Salcombe’s most popular beaches, North Sands and South Sands, are within a 10-minute walk of the glamping site. Both are family friendly and have beach cafes or restaurants and toilet facilities.
Across the estuary at East Portlemouth the sandy stretch of beaches include Fishermans Cove, Smalls Cove, Mill Bay and Sunny Cove.
A short drive away you can find many more beaches to explore, such as Hope Cove, South Milton Sands, Bigbury, Bantham (great for surfing!), Slapton Sands and Blackpool Sands.
Salcombe
Moult Hill Glamping is based on the outskirts of Salcombe, its easy to reach the town by car, on foot, or even by ferry!
Known for its golden sandy beaches, beautiful estuary, and deep maritime roots, there is plenty to see and do. Browse its range of lovely shops and art galleries, or relax in one of the many cafe's or pubs.

Parking in Salcombe can be tricky so our favourite way to get into town is to hop on the sea tractor at South Sands and take the ferry all the way to the very centre of Salcombe. Alternatively you can reach the town on foot within 30 minutes.

There are plenty of places to explore in The South Hams. From picture perfect sea-side villages such as Hope Cove and Thurlestone, to the vibrant towns of Dartmouth and Totnes. and South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Further Afield
If you fancy venturing further afield there is plenty to see and do in our nearest cities. Plymouth is a 45 minute drive, and Exeter approximately 1 hour.
You can reach Dartmoor national park in 40 minutes.
Buckfast Abbey and Totnes Castle are also worth a visit.
